Hey wazzup!Posted yesterday still must post again today?zzzz..Part of Sumatra was burned because of the early and dry season caused by El Nino weather phenomenon. In 2007,there were 1,218 hot spots again caused by El Nino.Kk,now many people must think what is El Nino.El Niño-Southern Oscillation (abbrieviated as ENSO and commonly called simply El Niño), is an intensification of monthly or seasonal fluctuations in the air pressure difference between Tahiti and Darwin, Australia caused by warming of surface waters of the tropical Eastern Pacific Ocean that occurs every three to eight years. The name is from the Spanish for"the little boy",Ya I C&P but so what?Ok This year, the number of hot spots has increased to 2,248!!!Terrible El Nino man... So thats it!!!ByeBye!!!!

International Friendship Day
Hi dudes!!!!!Ya deadline is going to come,so i will rush this a little bit.Firstly, this blog is about International Friendship Day and this year theme is "Getting to know ASEAN."ASEAN has 10 countries,Singapore,Indonesia,Myanmas,Laos,Malaysia,Philippines,Thailand,Vietnam,Brunei and Cambodia. It was first celebrated in the United States Congress, in 1935, proclaimed first Sunday of August as the National Friendship Day. Since then, celebration of National Friendship Day became an annual event. The noble idea of honoring the beautiful relationship of friendship caught on with the people and soon Friendship Day became a hugely popular festival.ASEAN stands for Association of Southeast Asian Nations.I didn't really enjoyed the activities as it was nothing special.I do not have any friends in ASEAN as i don't go there.(even i did,i have already forgotten). The school can create game like for pairs which are different races to play or anything else.So byebye!!

Learning Journey to Singapore History Museum
Hi dudes!!!!!!I don't know if today is the deadline,so i hurried to blog about the learning journey we went to on Monday. We left the school at about 1.15 pm, reaching the Singapore History Museum at about 1.45 pm. There, we were briefed on how to use the Companion and were each given a pair of headphones. Then, we were led into this very dark and gigantic area with screens all around us. After walking down a spiraling ramp, we headed into the History gallery, which was way darker than I expected. There were countless exhibits and artifacts there. If we wanted to know more about the exhibits in that certain area, we just looked for a number on the floor and punched the number into the Companion. Most of the exhibits there were mainly about the fall and rise of Singapore. There was this really cool machine gun that was on display. It was retrieved from a British ship that was sunk by the Japanese. After about an hour, we had to return the Companions at the exit. Then, we headed of to the Singapore Living Galleries, where we learnt more about the food, fashion, films and wayang of the time. We learnt how the foods and fashions were like in the past, and we also got to see this Malay horror movie.(No one screamed though. Strange. When people watch horror movies, they usually scream their heads off, unless their brave enough.) We also got to look at some cool stuff that were used in the film industry and some costumes and props used in the wayang.onAll in all, it was a wonderful learning experience for everyone. I really enjoyed and hope that we can go on more learning journeys in the near future.bye!!

Healthy Eating
Yo!!I just found out we got to post about healthy eating,so i decided to post!(And yes,i have partcipated in the Earth Hour).Firstly,to be healthy,we got to eat food that not that oily, with vegatables and blend. Many adults and children like to eat food and oily with no vegetables. In the end, they are fat, unhealthy and often get sick.If you are healthy, you won't be easily sick, and you also won't be often missing class.Obviously,90% of the people won't eat any vegetables and fruits as it doesn't taste nice.Eating fruits and vegetables is a good way to eat healthily, as both contain a truckload of vitamins each. I may like to eat certain fruits, but vegetables... Let's say I'm not such a fan of vegetables, apart from broccoli and lettuce. I do support the school's campaign in encouraging pupils to eat more fruits and vegetables as it will enhance them with better body. Some posters in the school might help.Bye!!!!!!
I'm Getting Sick of Peanut Butter
Hi dudes!!!I just read a nice narrative poem so i decided to share(it is compulsory cause teacher force me).Its about the guy(i don't even know him)having peanut butter sandwiches everyday and is sick of it.He dreams of having potato chips and baloney, lasagna and pumpkin pie.He can't choose any other because it is the only food he knows how to make.By the way,a narrative poem is Narrative poetry is peotry that tells a story. The poems may be short or long, and the story it relates to may be simple or complex. It is usually nondramatic, with objective verse and regular rhyme scheme and meter.

Earth Hour
Hey yo!!!today going to post about Earth Hour. This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming.
For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.
This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard.Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.

Start school later
Yo everybody!Today going to talk something i wish for!Start school later!Everytime i got to wake up 6.15 sleep at 12?I don't know but it is surely not 8 hr!!!thats why i get myself yawning in class. But fortunately,i take afternoon nap(only when my eyes gradually close).Insufficent sleep may result not able to absorb info, solve problem, make him/her fat and cranky and will lead to medical problem such as diabetes.Sufficent rest will result as 1/2%improvement in performance which is a HUGE jump.I suggest that school start 9am so we students can have more sleep as able to study better,or build more school to avoid two sessions and the buses ferry workers first.

Happy Children's Day!!!
I enjoyed the concert the teachers and students put up last Monday. I liked the hip-hop performance where some of the teachers we knew danced! It was a job well done! Of course, our favourite was the part where my form teacher, Mrs Azhar, starred in the play, acting as the mother! :) She introduced her "daughters" and said,"Just Like Me!" That was the most fun and memorable part! It was also rather interesting that the play during the concert was about Hari Raya Aldifitri, as we celebrated both occasions on the same day. Our teachers also gave us goodie bags! :) Thanks Mrs Azhar! I liked all the goodies and gifts very much!!!!
My family didn't celebrate children day,i was a little sad...

P5 camp
Yo!I going to talk about the camp i been gone to at few days ago.We went to MOE Campsite, Jalan Bahtera for a 2day1night camp. All the p5 arrived at about 10 30am,while we slowly find a place to sit. After the breifing from Cheif Eunice,we went back to our Domitries(more like huts) to put our bag. Then,we went back to to the main hall to listen to the instructions from cheif Eunice.Next,it was lunchtime.I was forced to seat at a small place but slowly and slowly many people finished eating and i got more space(hehe...).We then started with our activities.Firstly,we started with a game called "kidnapped".I wasn't kidnapped(luckily),while 3 person with our instructor, jestyn went to find the kidnapped person while the rest solving a puzzle.we was the slowest but the "finding group"came back quickly. We slowly took the lead.in the end,we won!Instructor jestyn show off the key to group 7 which still wasn't able to take the key.6 of us carried the kidnapped person and we rushed back to the main hall.
My favourite, the campfire!!The instructors was very hilarous with what they said.My group 10 and us merged to perform a song called "upside down" and we were ok.this camp taught me how to be independent.

Ndp Show
Hey!I am going to share my experience of the Ndp Show i went on saturday.First of all, we went to school and waited for the bus while listening to the NDP theme songs. When we went to the Marina Bay, it was quite warm but i could endure it. We were given a Fun Pack that had a Macdonald's meal, tattoos, packet drinks, a cap, snacks, national flag and much more in it. We managed to reach the Marina Bay stage in time even though the bus was late.
The hosts, including Adrian Pang, Jean Danker and Michelle Chong, arrived in jet skis and greeted us warmly. We were seated in different sections, (We were in the yellow section) so the motivaters and hosts could lead us easily.
The first performance was performed by dancers and disabled people in wheelchairs. They were dressed in purple costumes. It showed that despite their disability, they still overcame the challengeand performed well.
The next performance was by some cheerleaders. They were wearing blue and yellow costumes and did stunts to catchy music.
Then the soldiers and uniformed groups in Singapore came marching in orderly. They formed the word "NDP 08". They must have practiced very hard in order to give such a neat performance.A soldier representing the cabinet ministers came out carrying a signboard saying "CM" (meaning Cabinet Ministers).
The performance by the Red Lions and Black Knights was very interesting! The Red Lions flew gracefully across the sky.my palm was sweating when the two black knight almost collide each other!
The next was the most interesting!the fireworks!the 'boom' and the colourful fireworks makes it the best!
finally, the boring part...the waiting of bus.i was almost fall asleep while waiting, however,i was chatting with rayden and arief while waiting to kill time.we arrived school at about 1opm.i really enjoyed the Ndp08 show!!!

SPICES
Hey!Today i going to talk about SPICES!It is not the normal spices you usually use to mix with your food or whatever.SPICES stands for our six school values. It stands for
Sincerity
Sincerity means not expecting anything in return and giving up your seat in a bus or MRT for
someone who needs it automatically.
Passion for learning
it means being passionate with your studies and doing your homework and checking after finishing.
Intergrity
means doing the right thing without anybody telling you to do so.
Courage
being brave enough to own up something u have do.
Excellence
to me,excellence is doing everything with your best effort and never give up.
and self-discipline means being quiet while the teacher is not in class.
If you can follow the rules above,u will be a citizen of characters.

Reflection 4: Food Sold in our Canteen
Hi everybody!Today I going to talk about food in our canteen!Makes me hungry when i think about it!My favourite stall is stall 5 which sells food which are clean but not healthy...but they taste nice!I don't eat it everyday as i will get sick of it.I find the food in our canteen are 99.9%healthy but the 0.1% is the food in stall 5.The rest are ok.Irecommend some other fruits and fruit juice(especially watermelon and apple juice)in order to have a better condusive place for the visitors and teachers to eat or buy from.
Personal Response 3: Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease
HFMD is something like SARS and must be stop.It is a very contagious and there are a few cases in our school already! HFMD is caused by the Coxsackie virus and Enterovirus 71.Small ulcers will develop in the throat and tonsils while the hands, feet and diaper area will be affected by a rash with very small blisters(or characteristic vesicles). The rash will only heal in 5 to 7 days. HFMD is spread from person to person by direct contact with the nasal discharge, saliva, faeces and fluid from the rash of an infected person. To tell whether a friend has HFMD or not, we must look out for the symptoms:
1)Fever
2)Ulcers
3)headache
4)loss of appetite
HFMD can be stop by keeping yourself clean.Foe example, washing your hands before eating,do not share utensils with anybody and cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing.i would hope that you will keep your hygiene and stay healthy!
