Learning Journey to Singapore History Museum

Hi dudes!!!!!!I don't know if today is the deadline,so i hurried to blog about the learning journey we went to on Monday. We left the school at about 1.15 pm, reaching the Singapore History Museum at about 1.45 pm. There, we were briefed on how to use the Companion and were each given a pair of headphones. Then, we were led into this very dark and gigantic area with screens all around us. After walking down a spiraling ramp, we headed into the History gallery, which was way darker than I expected. There were countless exhibits and artifacts there. If we wanted to know more about the exhibits in that certain area, we just looked for a number on the floor and punched the number into the Companion. Most of the exhibits there were mainly about the fall and rise of Singapore. There was this really cool machine gun that was on display. It was retrieved from a British ship that was sunk by the Japanese. After about an hour, we had to return the Companions at the exit. Then, we headed of to the Singapore Living Galleries, where we learnt more about the food, fashion, films and wayang of the time. We learnt how the foods and fashions were like in the past, and we also got to see this Malay horror movie.(No one screamed though. Strange. When people watch horror movies, they usually scream their heads off, unless their brave enough.) We also got to look at some cool stuff that were used in the film industry and some costumes and props used in the wayang.onAll in all, it was a wonderful learning experience for everyone. I really enjoyed and hope that we can go on more learning journeys in the near future.bye!!

Healthy Eating

Yo!!I just found out we got to post about healthy eating,so i decided to post!(And yes,i have partcipated in the Earth Hour).Firstly,to be healthy,we got to eat food that not that oily, with vegatables and blend. Many adults and children like to eat food and oily with no vegetables. In the end, they are fat, unhealthy and often get sick.If you are healthy, you won't be easily sick, and you also won't be often missing class.Obviously,90% of the people won't eat any vegetables and fruits as it doesn't taste nice.Eating fruits and vegetables is a good way to eat healthily, as both contain a truckload of vitamins each. I may like to eat certain fruits, but vegetables... Let's say I'm not such a fan of vegetables, apart from broccoli and lettuce. I do support the school's campaign in encouraging pupils to eat more fruits and vegetables as it will enhance them with better body. Some posters in the school might help.Bye!!!!!!

I'm Getting Sick of Peanut Butter

Hi dudes!!!I just read a nice narrative poem so i decided to share(it is compulsory cause teacher force me).Its about the guy(i don't even know him)having peanut butter sandwiches everyday and is sick of it.He dreams of having potato chips and baloney, lasagna and pumpkin pie.He can't choose any other because it is the only food he knows how to make.By the way,a narrative poem is Narrative poetry is peotry that tells a story. The poems may be short or long, and the story it relates to may be simple or complex. It is usually nondramatic, with objective verse and regular rhyme scheme and meter.

Earth Hour

Hey yo!!!today going to post about Earth Hour. This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming.
For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.
This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard.Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.

Start school later

Yo everybody!Today going to talk something i wish for!Start school later!Everytime i got to wake up 6.15 sleep at 12?I don't know but it is surely not 8 hr!!!thats why i get myself yawning in class. But fortunately,i take afternoon nap(only when my eyes gradually close).Insufficent sleep may result not able to absorb info, solve problem, make him/her fat and cranky and will lead to medical problem such as diabetes.Sufficent rest will result as 1/2%improvement in performance which is a HUGE jump.I suggest that school start 9am so we students can have more sleep as able to study better,or build more school to avoid two sessions and the buses ferry workers first.
